I wanted to pick up a spring assisted pocket knife for under $100. I was browsing Blade HQ website to find one and came across this Ontario RAT Model 1A for $55 and had a lot of good reviews so I hit that order button.
Quick description: "This Assisted RAT Model 1 features textured OD green G-10 scales and a satin finished AUS-8 stainless steel blade with a plain cutting edge."
It's a great size and the spring assistance is great. A bit on the tougher side but I am guessing it'll loosen up with some usage. The other thing I really liked was the grip. It's not slick at all more like sandpaper but I would prefer that over some previous knives I have had. The added security of a lock is helpful as well. The only downside I noticed was the sharpness could be better, but easily fixed with a sharpener.
Overall a pretty decent knife for $55.
